Obi One Kobe... The Force Is Strong In This Jedi
"Trade Me!" yep that was the word out of LA today. Kobe is ready to go! His bags are all packed, the plane is waiting at the airport, and his mind is all made up. Holla at your boy Jerry and Phil!
So, if Kobe wants to go the question is where will the Lakers trade him to? Western or eastern conference? My money is on the eastern conference my friends. I really can't see the Lakers letting Kobe stay on the west coast where he would tourture them. And there are not enough balls on other western conference teams for young Obi One Kobe. Plus, he would mess up the chemistry of lets say the Spurs, Suns, Denver, Warriors, or Jazz teams.
My vote is on the New Jersey Nets. Yep, I said the Nets. Trade Kobe for Vince Carter and a draft pick. Kobe will finally get to play with an established point guard in Jason Kidd and he will be able to depend on Richard Jefferson (RJ) to fulfill the "boy wonder" role. Folks, this is not rocket science, even though some NBA experts would lead you to believe so. In addition, you have a young Josh Boone (from CT Huskies) at Forward/Center, Jason Collins (okay, he needs work), and an elder Clifford Robinson (experience and poise). That lineup is very workable.
And HELLO???? Jay-Z is part owner. Can you say Cha-ching for ticket prices! The Nets new arena is being built in Brooklyn (YES SIR!!!!) Let me introduce you to the new Brooklyn Nets lineup: Kobe Bryant, Josh Boone, Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson, and Clifford Robinson. Solid, solid like a rock! Can you smell what I'm cooking? Can you imagine everyone in BKLYN putting up the ROC sign? Never the less the jersey sales for the team would be bananas!
Just think about it.... Alright enough thinking and let the Nets front office and ownership get to work! Did you hear me? Get to work Bruce Ratner, Jay-Z, and crew.
